Turkey Mince Chilli

A lighter chilli using turkey mince instead of beef. Just as tasty, a bit less rich.

Ingredients

  • 500g turkey mince
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 peppers, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 400g tin chopped tomatoes
  • 400g tin kidney beans, drained
  • 200ml chicken stock
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • Rice, to serve

Method

  1. Brown the turkey mince in a pan, breaking it up.
  2. Add to the slow cooker with everything else. Stir.
  3. Cook on LOW for 6-7 hours.
  4. Season and serve with rice or in wraps.

Tips

Turkey mince is leaner, so the sauce won’t be as rich. Add a tablespoon of olive oil if it seems dry.
