A lighter twist on the classic using turkey mince. All the flavour, less of the fat.

Ingredients

  • 500g turkey mince
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 red pepper, diced
  • 400g tin chopped tomatoes
  • 400g tin kidney beans, drained
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 200ml chicken stock

Method

  1. Brown the turkey mince in a pan, breaking it up.
  2. Add all ingredients to the slow cooker.
  3. Cook on Low for 6-8 hours.
  4. Serve with rice or in wraps.

Tips

Turkey mince is leaner and cheaper than beef. It works brilliantly in a well-spiced chilli.
