Fall-off-the-bone tender ribs with a sticky BBQ glaze. These taste like they’ve been smoked for hours.
Ingredients
- 1 rack pork ribs (about 1kg)
- 150ml BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- Salt and pepper
- 100ml water
Method
- Mix the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Rub all over the ribs.
- Place the ribs in the slow cooker (you may need to cut the rack in half to fit).
- Pour the water around the base.
- Cook on Low for 6-8 hours until the meat is tender.
- Mix the BBQ sauce, honey, and garlic.
- Remove the ribs and place on a baking tray. Brush generously with the sauce.
- Grill for 5-10 minutes, brushing with more sauce as they cook.
- Serve with coleslaw and corn on the cob.
Tips
The slow cooker does the hard work making them tender, then the grill gives that sticky, caramelised finish.
